Parent Teacher Group

An important function of the PTG is raising funds to enhance the education of Young World Day School's students: Smart Boards in our Primary classrooms, wireless laptops for the computer lab, sponsorship of enhanced science curriculum in classrooms, grants for specialized class projects and materials, and school-wide educational programs and performances.

Young World Day School is very family-oriented. The school is fortunate in having an active Parent Teacher Group (PTG). This group sponsors school-wide social events such as the annual Auction Dinner, Spring Picnic, Pot Luck Supper, Book Fair. Through smaller group activities, such as grade level picnics and teas, the PTG encourages parents of classmates to get to know each other.

Guest artists, scientists, and speakers are brought into the classroom. Class trips to age-appropriate, and curriculum-based places are sponsored.

The Parent Teacher Group of Young World Day School have for sale a limited number of note cards featuring the students art work. The note cards can be purchased at the school office.
