The Traditional School: A strong beginning.

Our Traditional School, which serves children ages 3 through 5, is a carefully planned learning experience, accommodating the young child's natural desire to learn and grow toward independence. Upon completion, children are qualified to enter Kindergarten.

Experienced teachers aid the children to intelligently pursue a variety of worthwhile activities, including:

  • Language Arts to expand thought and vocabulary through stories, simple dramatics, poetry, and discussion.
  • Reading Readiness to receive exposure to the written word and to learn the alphabet and its sounds as an aid to reading.
  • Mathematics to further the child's interest in the quantitative value of numbers.
  • Science to observe, question, and experiment with natural phenomena in our world.
  • Social Studies to learn about our culture and other cultures.
  • French to learn the language and customs of another country.
  • Art and Music to aesthetically enhance the mind and spirit through song, dance, listening, painting, and using other art media.
  • Physical Movement to develop small and large motor control as part of a planned program.

Our Traditional School offers full-day and half-day sessions, as follows:
  • Full-day: 9:00 am — 3:00 pm
  • Morning half-day: 9:00 am — 11:30 am
  • Afternoon half-day: 12:30 pm — 3:00 pm
