Pre K through Grade 5
At Young World Day School, a not for profit school serving Bergen, Passaic and Rockland Counties, we believe an outstanding Pre-k thru grade 5 private school should be dedicated to the educational advancement and personal growth of every child. That's why we have created an educational environment that ties instruction and expectations to each student's abilities, rather than their chronological age.
To realize this, multi-graded classrooms play important roles in our Primary School. In grades Kindergarten through 5, a rotating multi-year curriculum delivers open-ended, diversified assignments designed to suit each child.
In addition, by assigning a teacher and an assistant to each Kindergarten class - and at least two certified teachers to each of the older classes - we can provide every student with individualized learning experience necessary to take their education to even higher levels.
From our Traditional and Montessori Pre-School programs to our Primary School curriculum, each student cultivates the skills needed to succeed on his or her own terms - and establishes a love of learning each will carry throughout life.
